CW 14 Star introduces the GB Gamblers new Coach Dave

"David Carle begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Green Bay Gamblers. Carle’s responsibilities will include game analysis, video breakdown, recruiting and working with the team’s defensemen.

Prior to joining the Gamblers, Carle served as a student assistant coach at the University of Denver.  Carle, who was originally recruited by Denver, had great potential but had to retire from hockey in July of 2008 after being diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

Prior to joining the Pioneers coaching staff, Carle garnished attention as a standout defenseman at Shattuck-St. Mary.  The Anchorage Alaska, native helped guide the Sabres to national championships in 2007 and 2008. For his efforts, Carle was drafted in the 7 ^th round (203 ^rd overall) by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

In 2011 Carle served as video coordinator for the gold-medal Team USA Under-17 Team at the Under-17 Five Nations Tournament in Ann Arbor, Mich.
