STERLING, Va. (AP) — Customs and Border Protection officers have seized more than four pounds of cocaine hidden inside chocolate bars and drink boxes inside luggage at Washington Dulles International Airport.
Officials say the contraband was found in a Guatemalan woman's luggage late Sunday. Officers say she is a legitimate courier and was not charged; however, she faces a five-year ban from returning to the United States.
CBP says the woman arrived from El Salvador. Inside her baggage, officials found six chocolate bars with cocaine in the center, and six small drink boxes that held plastic bags filled with cocaine.
The cocaine weighed more than four pounds and has a street value of about $130,000.
