ROBINSON, Ill. (WTHI) - A naked man that was hallucinating on bath salts jumped onto the hood of a moving car.

On Sunday night, Matthew Miller from Robinson, IL, jumped naked onto the hood of a stranger’s car.

The driver described to police that Miller acted out of his mind, and held onto the hood of the car for four miles.

The driver called 911 and headed into downtown Robinson where police arrested Miller.

Police quickly realized he was under the influence of some substance.

"Basically he said people were after him.  He was hallucinating and hallucinating badly. When we found his personal items out in the county that's when we found the evidence that he was under the influence of bath salts. We found the empty bath salt vials,” said Sergeant David Marqua.

Police told News 10 that Miller believed he was running from people who were trying to eat him.

Miller is being charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Damage to Property, and will be held on $3,520 cash bond.
