Kimberly, Oconto Falls, Appleton North ranked No. 1 in FOX 11's Top 11

ASHWAUBENON - Now that the spring season is underway it’s time to unveil the first FOX 11 Top 11 rankings for baseball, softball and girls soccer.

In baseball, not much of a surprise of which team is at the top. Kimberly leads the way with a 5-0 record as it is the only undefeated team in the rankings.

Among some other notable ranked teams are No. 2 Fond du Lac, No. 6 Luxemburg-Casco, No. 9 Coleman, which reached the state tournament last season, and No. 11 St. Mary Central.

Here are the baseball rankings:

BASEBALL
1. Kimberly 5-0
2. Fond du Lac 7-1
3. Sheboygan North 6-1
4. Freedom 8-1
5. Fox Valley Lutheran 6-1
6. Luxemburg-Casco 7-2
7. West De Pere 7-3
8. Ashwaubenon 5-2
9. Coleman 7-1
10. Sturgeon Bay 5-1
11. St. Mary Central 5-1

—In softball, a couple of Bay Conference teams occupy the top two spots. Oconto Falls and New London, both perfect on the season, are ranked No. 1 and 2, respectively. Falls reached the Division 2 state tournament last season behind pitcher McKenna Larsen and doesn't appear to be slowing down.

Meanwhile, Appleton North, the only undefeated team in Fox Valley Association play, is ranked No. 3.

Other notable rankings include No. 4 Appleton East, which made the state tournament last season, No. 7 Ashwaubenon, which co-leads the Fox River Classic Conference, and No. 9 Algoma, which is undefeated.

2. New London 7-0
3. Appleton North 6-1
4. Appleton East 5-1
5. Southern Door 6-0
6. Kaukauna 3-1
7. Ashwaubenon 4-1
8. Bay Port 4-1
9. Algoma 4-0
10. Oshkosh West 4-2
11. Freedom 5-2

—In girls soccer, defending Division 1 state champion Appleton North tops the poll with a 4-1-1 record, while perfect teams De Pere and Seymour check in at No. 2 and 3, respectively.

Other notable ranked teams are 4-0 St. Mary Central at No. 6 and Freedom at No. 11.
