This Sunday on CW 14 Focus, host Robert Hornacek was joined by the co-author of More than They Bargained For: Scott Walker, Unions, and the Fight for Wisconsin.
The book is written by Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reporters Patrick Marley and Jason Stein.
Marley joined Robert on the show to talk about the politics surrounding Act 10, the controversial legislation unveiled by Gov. Scott Walker in February 2011 that essentially eliminated collective bargaining for most public employees.
On the program, Marley also explained why they wrote the book.
"People have very strong feelings about Act 10. They're either very much for it or very much opposed to it. There's very little middle ground on this issue," Marley said. "Our hope is that one thing people take away is they understand a little more. They can still disagree with the other side but understand a little more where they're coming from."
CW 14 Focus is a weekly, half-hour interview program that focuses on the issues important to people in northeast Wisconsin. Each week, Robert Hornacek will sit down with a different guest and go beyond the sound bites. The program will highlight the people making a difference in the community and give viewers an opportunity to get in depth perspective. CW 14 Focus airs Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
