AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) - Shay Millheiser says the little 744-square-foot structure in the Texas capital city would look great with some work.
And you can't beat the asking price for a two-bedroom East Austin house: free.
"The floors are fine," Millheiser said as she showed off the house. "But other than that, I mean it's going to need work, from cabinets, some work with the walls."
An online ad she posted trying to give it away has already drawn hundreds of inquiries. But there's a catch: Whoever wants it has to take it away and leave no trace of it behind.
"The ideal taker of this house is probably someone looking for a project that enjoys fixing up houses," said Millheiser. "Maybe has a piece a land that needs a structure."
Millheiser hopes there's a taker, soon. If not, she'll demolish it, get it hauled away, and start building her new home.
